Info Post
The protests and attacks by the gay rights activists against California's Proposition 8 have stepped up to a new frenzy. Continuing under fire is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for its support of the proposition. The news reports "white powder" sent to two Mormon temples in Los Angeles and Salt Lake.

The church blames gay activists protesting church support for Prop 8. The news media is quick to point out, however, that the powder wasn't anthrax, it was just a "hoax", and there's no "proof" to blame the protesters.

Whoever did this deplorable act of terrorism is sending a message. No act, no protest, no demonstration of hatred is too much since the acts are all "protected"under the guise of civil rights and fairness. The will of the people doesn't matter. Democracy doesn't matter. What matters is that the perception of civil rights prevails, no matter the cost to the country, to the judicial system, to those under attack, and especially to the protesters.

So the protesters' attacks continue: the attacks in the courts, the attacks on the Mormons and other religious groups, the attacks on supporters in their places of business, the demonstrations in front and in places of worship.

The question remains, what has happened to the civil rights of those who supported Proposition 8? As the LA Times reports:

"Where is Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger?" [Yes on 8 campaign Director Frank] Schubert asked. "Where is Sen. Dianne Feinstein? Where are the people who represent us, no matter their position on Proposition 8, to stand up for the rights of the millions of Californians who have done the one thing we ask and teach our children, which is to participate in the democratic process?"
